Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor was born on the 16th of April 1996 on the 16th of April 1996 in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish they are the daughters of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father is an Argentine who had Scottish and English roots. Her mother is of Spanish origin. Taylor-Joy has the eldest of five children. Four are the result of a previous marriage to Taylor's father. The family was based within Buenos Aires until she was 6 years old. They then relocated to Victoria neighborhood of London. According to Taylor-Joy, this relocated family was traumatized and refused to learn English with the intention of moving back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she transferred from Northlands. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. When she was 16 she dropped out of school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy was a child actress that knew she was going to become an actor. Her dreams were realized after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a job as a model.
